If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past couple of years, you have probably heard of the infamous Hadid family. From Paris Fashion Week to Vogue covers, the Hadids have seemingly dominated every sector of the high fashion industry. Now, 19 year-old Anwar Hadid, younger brother to Bella and Gigi, is taking the family name to another industry -- jewelry.
Hadid, alongside rapper Yoni Laham, announced the launch of their new jewelry line, MARTYRE last Friday. The pair dropped a vintage black-and-white lookbook showcasing sterling silver necklaces, rings, and bracelets, some modeled by Anwar himself. The jewelry sells for $195 - $795, a generally affordable price range compared to other big-name jewelry lines.
The official website describes MARTYRE as a lifestyle and accessories brand that “refines the current construct of jewelry with an emphasis on substance and symbolism.” All of the jewelry is unisex, and, according to the website’s mission statement, is meant to represent individual strength and fortitude.
Though often overshadowed by his older sisters, Anwar Hadid is definitely one to look out for this spring season - not only as a model, but now as a designer himself.
