5 Foot 2 Ep. 3

5 Foot 2 Ep. 3

I'm writing this in Korea, a place that never fails to make me question my style and skin situation because hardly anyone steps out of their apartment without making sure every component of their appearance is just right. As I scroll through the photos from this episode, the clear lighting, the cool tone of the room and our clothing, and near-perfect coordination between Helen and me seem to reflect that sentiment of this country. Nothing feels out of place. And though I'm a naturally messy person, I like when clothing looks just right like this--when the lengths of layers aren't even but balanced and the colors seem to be hanging out amicably.

I think that these outfits were comfortable for both of us and were representative of our individual styles. I've been trying my best to get away from wearing so much blue but I somehow end up gravitating toward it anyway. For this episode, blue was a joint idea. And then, it was Helen's idea to take the photos in the 185 dance room; I was skeptical walking in because the closed blinds made the air dark and murky, but once we tugged open the shades, the light pouring in and mirrors facing the windows put everything sharply in focus. Mariah took these and we both appreciate how long she made our legs look.
