Fashion in Cinema

Fashion in Cinema

This shoot was inspired by some of the various aesthetic choices of film and TV directors. We tried to emulate the styles seen in Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, and Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom. Each of these directors is known for their own distinct styles of cinematography, setting, and costume design. Fashion choice is never passive, and this photoshoot is meant to emphasize the aesthetic decisions made by a few of the most distinctive directors in cinema. Special thanks to Nearly New at 234 Nassau St. for their continual support and generosity in allowing us to borrow clothing for the photoshoot.
